Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Waiting upon the Lord means through His fellowship we receive His peace and joy before the vision kicks in. Peace and Joy through the fellowship are more important than the vision.
Actually, His fellowship with Joy and Peace is the primary vision of what He desires from us and then the secondary vision of methodologies establishing His Kingdom to places and people next. How many times did we get this the other way round?
I’ll count the joy come every battle cause I know that’s where you’ll be

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
